BYD’s off-road brand Fang Cheng Bao has announced the name of its upcoming family-oriented SUV, the FCB Ti7, which is set to launch soon and is positioned between the Bao 5 and Bao 8 models.

The FCB Ti7 is part of the Ti-series, known for its family-friendly crossovers. Previously referred to by its Chinese name, the series has been internationally rebranded as “Ti.”

The FCB Ti7 has been spotted in the wild, indicating it will be a PHEV crossover with a DM-O powertrain, characterized by its blocky design, a storage box on the tailgate, and LiDAR on the roof.

The interior features a large floating screen and a four-spoke steering wheel, with a pricing speculation ranging between 300,000 to 350,000 yuan or potentially below 200,000 yuan.

## **BYD Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 Plug-in Hybrid SUV Revealed in China**

### **Overview**

The **Fang Cheng Bao Ti7** is a new plug-in hybrid SUV from BYD’s high-end off-road brand **Fang Cheng Bao (FCB)**. Slated for launch in **China later in 2025** , the Ti7 will be available in both **rear-wheel-drive (RWD)** and **all-wheel-drive (AWD)** variants.

### **Design & Exterior**

- **Boxy, Defender-inspired styling** with rugged lines and a flat roof.
- Large dimensions: **4999 mm (L) / 1995 mm (W) / 1865 mm (H)** with a **2920 mm wheelbase**.
- Features:
  - **Swing-out tailgate** with external storage box.
  - **Rectangular LED taillights** , **roof rails** , and **wide wheel arches**.
  - Two types of wheels spotted: **multi-spoke black** and **aero-style five-spoke**.
  - Equipped with **LiDAR** sensor on the roof (for advanced driver assistance).
  - Paint colors seen: **Green** and **Yellow**.

### **Interior**

- Officially revealed on **July 25** , available in **Black & White** and **Black & Orange** themes.
- Despite its size, the Ti7 is a **5-seater** with **two rows** of seats.
- Rear seats fold in **60/40 split** , and the trunk features **multiple power outlets**.
- **Large center touchscreen** with dual air vents below.
- **Gear selector is mounted behind the steering wheel**.
- Includes **grab handles** , **rugged interior trim** , and a **large sunroof**.
- Notably **missing a ceiling-mounted screen** , which is common in this segment.

### **Powertrain & Performance**

- Built on BYD’s new **DMS plug-in hybrid platform**.
- **1.5L turbocharged petrol engine** (115 kW / 154 hp).
- Electric motor configurations:
  - **AWD version** : Dual motors (Front: 160 kW / 215 hp, Rear: 200 kW / 268 hp).
  - **RWD version** : Single rear motor (200 kW / 268 hp).

- Battery & Range:
  - **Base model** : 26.6 kWh LFP battery, **100–105 km EV range** , **6.3 L/100 km** fuel use.
  - **Top trim** : 35.6 kWh LFP battery, **up to 130 km EV range** , **6.4 L/100 km** fuel use.

- Batteries supplied by **FinDreams** , BYD’s in-house battery company.

### **Positioning**

- The Ti7 sits **between the Bao 5 and Bao 8** in FCB’s lineup.
- It focuses more on **family and comfort** , unlike the hardcore off-roaders in the range.
