The updated Santa Fe is expected to feature a sleeker front end with slimmer headlights and a less aggressive grille, as well as a redesigned rear with vertical taillights connected by a horizontal light bar, and a relocated license plate for a more cohesive look. Mechanically, the 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission is likely to be replaced by a traditional torque converter automatic due to customer complaints about the DCT’s performance.
