Spy photographers have captured prototype images of the upcoming 2027 Mercedes-Maybach SL Roadsters during arctic testing, revealing several design changes while leaving some details mysterious.

**Key Details:**

- The most prominent front-end change is the integration of Mercedes’ three-pointed-star badge directly into the headlight design, more prominently featured than on previous models
- The Maybach features a horizontal crossbar grille with larger lower intakes
- The Maybach prototype displays a bold red lower fascia and chrome dual exhausts, though the red rear bumper may be prototype-only
- The front fascia and nose area show evidence of new sculpting, indicating cosmetic updates are concentrated there
- Powertrains are expected to carry over the 4-liter M177 V8 engine from previous models

**Why It Matters:** Mercedes will officially reveal later in 2027, with these spy shots providing early glimpses of the luxury focused updates coming to the SL lineup.
