MG is preparing a wagon version of the MG 07, and the latest spy shots show it testing on public roads in China.
The front end is nearly identical to the MG 07 sedan, but the extended roof transforms it into a proper estate. The prototype also has a roof-mounted LiDAR, suggesting it will offer the same Momenta-based driver-assistance tech as the sedan.
Powertrain options are expected to mirror the MG 07 lineup, meaning PHEV, 400V EV and 800V EV versions could all be offered. The sedan currently tops out with a 235-kW (315-hp) motor and a 91-kWh battery, rated at up to 845 km CLTC.
No launch date has been announced yet, but with road testing underway, MG’s new electric wagon may not be far away.
