Recently, a Juniper test car was spotted near Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California.
The vehicle was shrouded in heavy camouflage, but the details strongly suggested that it was a performance model.
Most noticeable are the wheels. They’re the same 20-inch
flaked wheels, and if you zoom in on the image, you can see the large red brake calipers which is only found on the Performance trim.
The original Model Y Performance can go from rest to 60 mph (96 km/h) in to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and an EPA-estimated range of 446 to 459 kilometers (446 to 459 miles).
However, we expect to see further improvements in both performance and efficiency.
Model Y Performance coming as early as later this year.

Six-seater Tesla Model Y L was spotted undergoing testing.
The Tesla Model Y L, a long-range variant of Tesla’s compact SUV, has been spotted undergoing testing at the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany.
This sighting suggests that Tesla is preparing a European version of the Model Y, tailored to the specific needs and regulations of the European market.
The ‘L’ designation typically signifies an extended range battery, which would be a significant feature for European customers who prioritize efficiency and long-distance capability.
The testing at the Nurburgring, known for its challenging layout, is likely aimed at fine-tuning the vehicle’s performance, handling, and range for optimal European driving conditions.

The Tesla Model Y L six-seater has been released in China, with local auto media criticizing the third-row seating experience as inadequate for regular use due to limited space and comfort.
Tesla is preparing to introduce a budget-friendly variant of the Model Y, dubbed the E41, amidst declining sales and the looming removal of the federal EV credit.
This model will come with a host of cost-cutting measures, including the removal of light bars, a metal roof instead of a glass one, and a basic audio system.
The E41 will also lack features such as Airwave flow control, rear camera heater, power mirror folding, puddle lamps, and TPMS sensors.
Additionally, it will have a simplified headliner, cabin lighting, single-axis seat controls, and basic 18-inch wheels, along with a less powerful drivetrain.
