The upcoming Genesis GV90 is expected to become the largest and most luxurious SUV in the Genesis lineup, while the Kia EV9 already serves as Hyundai Motor Group’s flagship three-row electric SUV. Although both models target large SUV buyers, the GV90 is expected to position itself above the EV9 in overall size, luxury, and pricing.
The Kia EV9 measures:
Length: 5,010 mm
Width: 1,980 mm
Height: 1,755 mm
Wheelbase: 3,100 mm
Based on current prototypes and industry reports, the Genesis GV90 is expected to be noticeably larger:
Estimated Length: around 5,200 mm
Estimated Width: around 2,000 mm
Estimated Height: around 1,800 mm
Estimated Wheelbase: over 3,200 mm
That would make the GV90 roughly 200 mm longer than the EV9, with a longer wheelbase aimed at maximizing second-row comfort and third-row space.
The difference in positioning is also important. While the EV9 focuses on family usability and mainstream premium value, the GV90 is expected to target the ultra-luxury electric SUV segment alongside models such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, Range Rover Electric, and Cadillac Escalade IQ.
Spy shots also suggest the GV90 may feature coach-style rear doors on certain trims, along with a more upright silhouette and larger proportions than the EV9.
