General Motors has filed a trademarked for the name “ZRX” as of February 17, 2023. Though this isn’t the first time the trademark has been filed, the name is likely to be used for the Silverado 1500 in the near future, slotting above the Silverado ZR2. The name “ZRX” indicates a Ford F-150 Raptor R and RAM 1500 TRX rival. There’s no confirmation on what engine will be used but MotorTrend imagines the 6.2L LT4 supercharged V8 which is well known for being used in the Cadillac Escalade-V, Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and more. So the horsepower that would be produced in the ZRX is a tough guess but could easily exceed 700 horses. More information on this truck should surface soon enough. Hopefully it will be the powerful off road truck everybody has been asking for because the time is now for Chevy to do something like this, especially with electric vehicles increasing.
