2024 Audi A5 Sportback spotted for the first time. It had the complete standard body and end lights.
As expected, the front half of the car is largely identical to the A4 Avant, whose conversion to the A5 designation has been officially confirmed. The slightly sloping rear pillar and tailgate indicate that it is indeed the A5 Sportback and not an A5 sedan. Not only does it have all the standard body panels, but it also has the final headlights and taillights. It’s unclear if Audi will introduce the Sportback first, but logic tells us that the more practical Avant will come a bit after this car.
The A5 Sportback, which is based on an evolution of the MLB platform, will be the last generation with an internal combustion engine to be offered. Audi will launch its last internal combustion engine vehicles in 2025, and new products will be sold as all-electric cars starting in 2026.
