2024 Jeep Gladiator Facelift

First photos of the 2024 Jeep Gladiator Facelift.

If you recall from the 2024 Wrangler’s debut earlier this year at the New York Auto Show, the main exterior update comes with a smaller version of the iconic seven-bar grille. It’s easy to see here as the entire grille is black, including the surround. There are also small changes to the front bumper, notably with body lines in the middle. Turn signals lenses are different, and at the rear, you’ll find redesigned taillights.

While the exterior is completely open, the interior is another matter. The entire dash and the driver’s seat were covered when our photographer swooped in for some close-ups. This actually proves that what we’re seeing is a preproduction model and not a unique test vehicle. And while though we can’t see much on the dash, we have a good idea that a larger center touchscreen is hidden behind. The 12.3-inch landscape screen on the 2024 Wrangler’s premiere model necessitated a significant reworking of the dash in order for it to function.

The screen’s narrow horizontal vents under the screen took the place of the previous circular climate control vents. To make a clean, symmetrical horizontal line across the bottom of the dash on the passenger side, the obvious grab handle was moved. If the Gladiator experiences the same modifications, which is entirely possible, then the interior’s thick covers would make sense.

Upgraded technology in the form of the most recent Uconnect 5 system and the Trails Offroad digital guide will probably be included in the refresh. Although the Gladiator might get some improved axle or suspension parts, the powertrain options should remain intact.

An official debut could occur before the end of the summer given that the updated 2024 Wrangler is now announced and that this Gladiator was spotted in the open without any external camouflage. For additional off-road talk in the interim, listen to the most recent episode of Rambling About Cars.
