Test Mule
Development of the new Lexus BX began in the middle of last March. The Japanese luxury brand began the test program when the new Toyota Yaris Cross was at the end of its development, becoming confused with this model with which it shares the TGNA-B platform. The future Lexus crossover will debut in 2022.
The new “small” of the Toyota luxury brand will arrive next June. More compact than the UX, it derives from the Yaris Cross, but will be more chic and luxurious.
The Lexus LBX is coming and is expected to feature hybrid petrol power. A brief online video has revealed the design of the car, which is expected to feature a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, small electric motor and a CVT automatic transmission.
The LBX will be Lexus’ entry-level model when it goes on sale and will challenge the high-spec versions of models like the Volkswagen T-Cross and Honda HR-V.
