2024 New Hongqi L-Series Sedan






New spy shots of a large Hongqi L-series sedan, probably the successor of the Hongqi L5. The L-series consists of the top-end Hongqi sedans.

The shape of the light units itself is still the same, but the lights have gone full LED. Even wilder. The indicator is now located at the top of the lamp, which formerly had tiny vents on the CA770 and L5. Although it defies convention, that looks rather amazing. In comparison to the present L5, the grille is also noticeably bigger and taller. The trend among Hongqi is to install larger and larger grilles on their vehicles.

The side view reveals a windscreen that is far more raked than the present L5’s windscreen. Most likely, Hongqi is attempting to somewhat reduce drag. The new L5 will be powered by a 4.0 liter, turbocharged V8 engine that produces 360 horsepower and 500 Nm, the same as the Hongqi LS7. An 8-speed automatic transmission will be used. Inauguration on the Chinese auto market is anticipated for Q4.
