Spy sources suggest a road-legal Audi R8 GT3 may be built by Scherer Sport, a racing and performance company. The vehicle could be a test vehicle for future homologation requirements.
Audi is set to produce only 100 road-going R8 GT3, with most already in production. The car features a big GT3 wing, massive vents, and a unique roof design.
The body is heavily based on the R8 GT3 Evo II, which debuted in 2021, with a slight toned down design for road use. The possibility of direct involvement from Audi remains unknown.
