The new RS 3 has an impressive time of 7:33.123 minutes, beating the current fastest lap time in its class by over five seconds.
The record was made possible by improved cornering behavior, enabling the vehicle to deploy its agility earlier and in a more controlled manner.
The vehicle’s exceptional driving dynamics are due to the interplay of the torque splitter, electronic stabilization control, wheel-selective torque control, and RS sports suspension.
The five-cylinder engine with 400 PS and 500 Nm torque still powers the RS 3.
The upgraded production model of the RS 3 will be available to order from the end of August and will be at dealerships starting October.
