2025 Audi S5 Sportback

Next-Gen Audi S5 Sportback Spied For The First Time

Now that the entire production body and final lighting are on the new S5, spies have brought us pictures of it in Sportback form.

Although the S5 Avant (yeah, get used to this term) wagon has been spotted numerous times, this is the first time we’ve seen the S5 being tested as a sportback. As of right now, it’s unknown whether Audi will keep the vehicle’s suffix or if the S5 will serve as its sole designation. Another indication of the traditional sedan’s impending death is the prototype’s appearance, which resembles a tailgate rather than a trunk lid.

A portion of the car’s complexity has been lost, but the quad exhaust is still present. Sadly, the frameless windows are no longer an option. The new S5 has flush door handles and probably has a light bar at the back hidden, despite the concealment. First impressions indicate that the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe competition is benefiting fairly well from the evolutionary styling. Audi has built a separate lower air inlet, so we are pleasantly surprised to notice that the grille is a little bit smaller. Hopefully, the air curtains on the bumper’s sides are real air curtains and not phony plastic trim.

The normal A5 variants should be unveiled first, most likely in the second half of the year, according to logic. The ideal site to showcase the new generation would appear to be the 2023 IAA Munich in early September. The faster S5 should follow soon after, while the RS5 should appear somewhere around 2024.
