Spy shots of the Avatr 06 convertible have emerged on Chinese social media, showcasing a new model with a distinctive four-door layout and the absence of B-pillars.
This design choice may present structural rigidity issues, especially for the rear doors.
The convertible is expected to share dimensions with the Avatr 06 sedan and could offer both fully electric (EV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains, although official specifications have not been confirmed.
The EV variant is anticipated to have single-motor and dual-motor options, while the EREV is expected to feature a 1.5T engine generator alongside a smaller battery pack supplied by CATL.
Advanced technology features such as Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 for driver assistance and HarmonyOS for the infotainment system are also rumored.
The Avatr 06 lineup, including the convertible, is slated for production and sales in early 2025, with pricing starting below 219,900 yuan ($30,300 USD).
