The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revealed the new BYD Dolphin electric hatchback, which features a facelift with subtle aesthetic modifications and the introduction of a new 130 kW electric motor option.
The vehicle’s dimensions have been slightly altered, with a longer wheelbase compared to the 2025 model. The new Dolphin offers a range of optional features such as a panoramic sunroof and advanced driver-assistance systems.
It will be equipped with BYD’s proprietary Blade LFP battery packs and will be available with three different power outputs from its permanent magnet synchronous motors.
