C8 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Prototypes Spied
This is a crucial point because legends of a twin-turbocharged ZR1 with well over 800 horsepower have been teased at us since the early days of the C8 Stingray. According to a source from 2021, the entire C8 lineup was planned out, and the ZR1 had a twin-turbocharged Z06 engine that produced 850 horsepower. There have recently been rumors that the ZR1 will forgo turbos in favor of pairing the Z06 engine with the electric motor from the E-Ray. That would result in a vehicle with about 800 horsepower, leaving room for a top-of-the-line Corvette Zora with turbochargers and electric power for a 1,000-hp punch.
