Hyundai’s flagship SUV enters its second generation with a more commanding presence and upscale interior
Hyundai has pulled the wraps off the completely redesigned 2025 Palisade, marking the first full redesign of its popular three-row SUV since its debut in 2018. The new model aims to strengthen its position in the competitive large SUV segment with a more imposing exterior design and a significantly upgraded interior focused on premium comfort.
EXTERIOR: BOLD AND COMMANDING The 2025 Palisade’s exterior showcases a more dramatic evolution of Hyundai’s design language. The front fascia features vertical DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) flanking a more prominent grille, creating what Hyundai calls an “overwhelming first impression.” A new center positioning lamp adds a futuristic touch while harmonizing with the elevated hood line.
The SUV’s proportions have been refined with a shorter front overhang and longer wheelbase, complemented by an extended rear overhang. New 21-inch wheels add to the dynamic profile, while a horizontal character line running from the hood to the beltline creates a clean, premium appearance. The D-pillar design creates an illusion of a continuous flow from the roof rack, enhancing the vehicle’s bold presence.
INTERIOR: PREMIUM LIVING SPACE Inside, Hyundai has completely reimagined the Palisade’s cabin around a “Premium Living Space” theme. The horizontal layout, inspired by high-end furniture design, creates a living room-like atmosphere. A new panoramic curved display combines twin 12.3-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system.
A significant innovation is Hyundai’s first-ever center console that can transform into a middle seat, enabling a 9-passenger configuration. This feature not only increases versatility but also allows access to bus-only lanes in certain regions. The second row can be configured with either captain’s chairs (7-seat layout) or a 60:40 split bench (9-seat layout), while the third row features a standard 60:40 split.
COLORS AND TRIM The 2025 Palisade offers eight exterior colors, including four new options:
- New: Ecotropic Gray Pearl, Cast Iron Brown Pearl, Galaxy Maroon Pearl, and Classy Blue Pearl
- Returning: Abyss Black Pearl, Creamy White Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, and Robust Emerald Pearl
Interior color schemes include five choices: Black monotone, Gray two-tone, Brown two-tone, Navy two-tone, and Dark Gray two-tone.
According to Simon Loasby, Head of Hyundai Design Center, “The all-new Palisade redefines presence through bold, premium design with careful attention to detail. The interior, reminiscent of premium furniture, reimagines the Palisade as a comfortable and versatile space for families.”
Full specifications, pricing, and release date details are expected to be announced closer to the vehicle’s market launch.
