The 2025 LDV Terron 9, available in both diesel and all-electric versions, has been spotted testing in Australia ahead of its early 2025 showroom launch, featuring significant improvements over its predecessor, the LDV eT60.
The 2025 LDV Terron 9, a next-generation ute, has been caught on camera undergoing testing near Newcastle, Australia. This new model is set to arrive in two variants: a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel and an all-electric eTerron 9, both confirmed for the Australian market.
The eTerron 9, positioned as a successor to the LDV eT60, is slated for an early 2025 release. Spy footage submitted by a carsales reader shows the Terron 9 in a pre-production camouflage wrap, despite its global debut having already occurred.
The vehicle is equipped with a tow bar and boasts a more conventional design than its competitor, the Kia Tasman. The combustion engine variant is expected to deliver 164kW of power, with torque figures anticipated to be at least 500Nm, given its increased towing capacity of 3500kg.
Both the EV and ICE versions share this towing capacity and dimensions, measuring 5500mm in length and 1997mm in width, with a 3300mm wheelbase, making the Terron 9 larger than many of its peers.
The diesel version will feature an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the electric eTerron 9 will be available in single- and dual-motor configurations, offering 200kW and 325kW respectively, with the latter capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds, powered by a 102kWh battery with a WLTP range of up to 430km.
The interior is noted for its modern design, featuring dual 12.3-inch screens and ample storage, with the EV variant also including a frunk
