The Leapmotor B01 electric sedan, built on the same platform as the Leapmotor B10 crossover, has been officially revealed through the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China.
Priced between 100,000 to 150,000 yuan, the B01 is designed to appeal to the Chinese market with its 4770/1880/1490mm dimensions and a wheelbase of 2735mm.
It boasts a dynamic profile with black window frames and exterior mirrors, a distinctive through-typetaillight design, and optional features such as a panoramic glass roof and various rear position lights.
The B01 is equipped with two electric motor options: a 132 kW version from CRRC Times Electric Drive Technology and a 160 kW variant from Jinhua Lingsheng Power Technology, both paired with lithium-iron phosphate batteries.
Advanced driver assistance is provided through Leapmotor’s LEAP 3.5 technology architecture, which includes an optional roof-mounted LiDAR system and an 8650 chip for enhanced automatic navigation assistance. The B01 is set to launch in July.
