Luxeed is a car brand jointly made by Chery and Huawei.
The Luxeed S9, a sporty crossover SUV, bears a resemblance to the Nio ET9, especially in profile, but diverges at the C-pillar with a stubby and abrupt rear design. The front features headlights with three lenses and air intake details, while a lidar unit sits atop the roof. Minimal overhangs are observed from the side profile. The rear taillights resemble the S7 with a through-light design, while the tailgate has a duck-tail shape and a small window. The doors are expected to be frameless.
Spy shots of the Luxeed S9’s interior reveal a similar double-layer design as the S7, with an LCD instrument screen set back on the dashboard and a floating central control screen. The steering wheel has a unique shape and minimal controls, while face recognition is mounted on the A-pillar.
While powertrain details are scarce, the S9 is expected to feature a Huawei motor system and an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform. It will likely offer single-motor and dual-motor versions, with power outputs similar to or exceeding those of the S7. The battery pack options may include 82 and 100 kWh configurations. The official launch is anticipated soon, possibly within the third quarter.
