Peugeot 308 to Receive Significant Facelift in September 2025
The Peugeot 308, which continues steadily in the shadow of the 3008 and 5008 models, will undergo a notable facelift in September 2025. According to sources close to the matter, this update will be spectacular and highly visible, similar to its technical cousin the DS 4, which became DS N°4 and completely changed its face.
The updated 308 won’t simply adopt the triple pair of light claws for daytime running lights - the evolution will be significantly more pronounced. The design will follow the styling cues of the 3008 and 5008 models, featuring a two-tier grille arrangement. This update comes as the third generation 308, launched in 2021, reaches its mid-life cycle.
On the technical side, the current 308 lineup includes Hybrid 145 (formerly 136), BlueHDi 130 diesel, 180 hp plug-in hybrid, and 156 hp electric powertrains. A new 195 hp version, which is becoming standard in the lineup and will soon be available in the Peugeot 3008 and 5008, will attempt to fill the gap between existing options. The big question remains whether there will be a future electrified Peugeot 308 GTI, replacing the 270 hp combustion sports model that left the lineup at the end of 2020.
