2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS Caught Testing at Nürburgring

Recent spy photographs have captured the upcoming 2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS during its testing sessions at the legendary Nürburgring circuit, revealing several key design elements despite the camouflage efforts by Skoda’s Mladá Boleslav team.

Close inspection of the test vehicle, compared to earlier leaked images from the beginning of the year, shows significant design updates. The most notable change is a larger trapezoidal air intake in the front bumper, featuring a black honeycomb mesh pattern. New vertical air curtains have been added to the extremities of the front bumper, enhancing the vehicle’s aggressive appearance.

At the rear, the lower section of the bumper sports black vinyl camouflage, concealing a faux heat extractor with honeycomb decoration and red trim. The dual exhaust system features integrated outlets with polygonal surrounds.

Interior details were also partially visible, with photographers noting covered RS logos on the passenger headrest, indicating the vehicle’s performance-oriented nature.

Powertrain Specifications:

  • 2.0-liter TSI gasoline engine
  • Projected output: approximately 270 horsepower
  • 7-speed DSG automatic transmission
  • All-wheel drive system

Notably, contrary to current industry trends, this new Kodiaq RS will not feature plug-in hybrid technology. Instead, Skoda is focusing on delivering a pure gasoline-powered performance SUV that promises to balance comfort with dynamic driving characteristics.

The new Skoda Kodiaq RS is expected to launch in mid-2025, positioning itself as a flagship model in Skoda’s SUV lineup.
