The Audi RS 3 is set to receive a limited-edition special variant to bid farewell to the brand’s legendary five-cylinder engine.

Spotted undergoing testing at the Nürburgring, this model is expected to feature enhanced power, chassis improvements, and unique styling cues.

With a price tag between £80-90,000, the car is slated to arrive next year. The engine upgrades could push the power output to around 425bhp, while the torque is likely to remain at 420Nm to avoid exceeding the transmission’s capacity.

The special edition may include advanced chassis features, possibly including manually adjustable springs and dampers or adaptive dampers from the Vorsprung trim. Inside, the cabin is anticipated to be adorned with Alcantara and contrasting stitching, potentially with carbon-backed bucket seats.

Audi’s naming strategy for these end-of-life special editions has been inconsistent, so the final name for this model remains uncertain, though it is poised to be a fitting tribute to the five-cylinder engine’s legacy.
