BYD Dolphin G plug-in hybrid hatchback broke cover
BYD has revealed the Dolphin G DM-i, a plug-in hybrid hatchback specifically designed for Europe, with pricing coming in June 2026 and deliveries expected in fall 2026.
Key Details:
- The vehicle offers a combined range of 1,000 km with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine (72 kW/97 hp) paired with an electric motor (145 kW/194 hp)
- Dimensions are 4,160 mm long and 1,825 mm wide, making it 130 mm shorter but 55 mm wider than the European Dolphin BEV
- Features include thin headlights, active air intake, semi-hidden door handles, blackened rims, surround-view camera system, and a floating touchscreen dashboard
- Expected to be one of the first vehicles produced at BYD’s new manufacturing plant in Szeged, Hungary
- The model is finished in orange with a black interior and “G” emblems on headrests
