BYD’s off-road brand Fang Cheng Bao has announced the name of its upcoming family-oriented SUV, the FCB Ti7, which is set to launch soon and is positioned between the Bao 5 and Bao 8 models.

The FCB Ti7 is part of the Ti-series, known for its family-friendly crossovers. Previously referred to by its Chinese name, the series has been internationally rebranded as “Ti.”

The FCB Ti7 has been spotted in the wild, indicating it will be a PHEV crossover with a DM-O powertrain, characterized by its blocky design, a storage box on the tailgate, and LiDAR on the roof.

The interior features a large floating screen and a four-spoke steering wheel, with a pricing speculation ranging between 300,000 to 350,000 yuan or potentially below 200,000 yuan.

Overview

The Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 is a new plug-in hybrid SUV from BYD’s high-end off-road brand Fang Cheng Bao (FCB). Slated for launch in China later in 2025, the Ti7 will be available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants.

Design & Exterior

  • Boxy, Defender-inspired styling with rugged lines and a flat roof.
  • Large dimensions: 4999 mm (L) / 1995 mm (W) / 1865 mm (H) with a 2920 mm wheelbase.
  • Features:
    • Swing-out tailgate with external storage box.
    • Rectangular LED taillights, roof rails, and wide wheel arches.
    • Two types of wheels spotted: multi-spoke black and aero-style five-spoke.
    • Equipped with LiDAR sensor on the roof (for advanced driver assistance).
    • Paint colors seen: Green and Yellow.

Interior

  • Officially revealed on July 25, available in Black & White and Black & Orange themes.
  • Despite its size, the Ti7 is a 5-seater with two rows of seats.
