Hyundai is set to introduce the Ioniq 2, a compact electric vehicle designed to be an affordable and competitive option in the European market.
This new model is expected to rival the Renault 4 and fill a gap in Hyundai’s electric vehicle lineup between the Inster and the Kona Electric.
The Ioniq 2, similar in size to the Bayon, will feature a tech-focused cabin and is built on the scalable E-GMP platform.
The vehicle’s reveal is anticipated at the Munich motor show, with a market launch in the third quarter of 2026, a few months after its sibling brand Kia’s EV2.
The introduction of the Ioniq 2 signifies Hyundai’s commitment to electrification and increasing its electrified mix in the coming years, as emphasized by Hyundai Europe boss Xavier Martinet.
