2026 Hyundai Stargazer Facelift

This is the facelift model of Hyundai Motor Company’s Indonesian strategic MPV model, ‘Stargazer’. Even though it is covered in camouflage, the design of the headlights and taillights is largely revealed. The front features the signature daytime running lights (DRL) in the shape of the letter ‘ㅏ’, which can be interpreted as Hyundai’s new design language. When both sides are combined, a family look is realized that is reminiscent of the ‘H’ logo.
The front grille has a large pattern and matte texture reminiscent of Santa Cruz, giving a wider and more stable impression. The side is equipped with a three-dimensional character line and newly designed wheels, giving it an appearance close to a mass-produced model.
What is interesting is that Hyundai recently applied for the name ‘Stargazer’ as a trademark with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. This could lead to the interpretation that the Stargazer, which was previously classified as a model exclusive to emerging markets such as Indonesia and Southeast Asia, is being designed with the domestic market in mind.
As the price of Staria increases and its product quality improves, I think it will be able to target the demand for entry-level MPVs that focus on cost-effectiveness. However, I think it will be difficult to launch it domestically right away because the standards of products for Southeast Asia and domestic consumers are so high.
