A boxy new Mitsubishi SUV has been spotted testing in Southern Europe.
Unlike the recently-revealed (but similar looking) Mitsubishi Destinator which has 5 lug nuts, this spy shot SUV has 6 lug nuts and has a different-looking back. On top of a trademark being filed last year for the Montero name and the Destinator having been confirmed to not come to North America, there is a high chance that this SUV was shown in Mitsubishi Momentum 2030.
Mitsubishi Momentum 2030 is Mitsubishi’s 2030 roadmap for North America, which includes a confirmation that the next-gen Delica based on the D:X Concept will be heading to North America. A separate version of the roadmap exists for the Australian market, but there is nothing in the Aussie version that looks anything like this. The closest-looking thing is a silhouette from the press release image of the American version of the roadmap.
