Peugeot aims for a sales rebound with the launch of a fully electric version of the 408 in the spring of 2025. The electric model, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show last October, offers 210 horsepower and a driving range of 453 km. However, industry experts point out that these specifications are somewhat lacking given the vehicle’s 4.7m body size.
Even greater changes are expected with the facelift model in 2026. Peugeot plans to incorporate the design language of the ‘Inception’ concept car, revealed in 2023, and increase the driving range to over 600 km by equipping it with an 86kWh high-capacity battery. The output is also expected to be raised to around 300 horsepower.
