The Renault Symbioz, a compact SUV positioned between the Captur and Austral, is set to broaden its appeal with the addition of a mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain to its lineup.
Initially launched with a self-recharging hybrid (HEV) system, the Symbioz will now offer a more affordable entry-level option with the new MHEV technology, which includes a 1.2-liter TCe three-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 48-volt system.
This move is expected to significantly reduce the starting price of the Symbioz, making it more competitive in its segment.
The new MHEV variants, anticipated to deliver around 120 CV and 140 CV, will retain the front-wheel-drive configuration and are slated to hit the market in the second half of 2025, bearing the ECO environmental label
