The Volkswagen ID. Era 9X’s interior has been unveiled in China, showcasing a spacious six-seat configuration and a high-tech design with a large central display that serves as both an infotainment system and a control interface for most vehicle functions.
The crossover, which is part of Volkswagen’s push into the new energy vehicle market in China, offers all-wheel drive and an electric range of up to 340 km.
The minimalist interior, lacking physical buttons, may appeal to tech-savvy consumers but could deter more traditional Volkswagen buyers who prefer a more conventional layout.
The ID. Era 9X’s exterior dimensions are comparable to the BMW X7, and it is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine as a range extender, with power outputs ranging from 220 kW to 380 kW depending on the configuration.
