2026 Volvo XC70

The China-made Volvo XC70 PHEV crossover has been unveiled with a substantial 39.6 kWh battery, offering an electric range of 180 km under CLTC conditions.

This latest iteration of the XC70 is built on Volvo’s new SMA platform and showcases a design language that includes Thor’s Hammer taillights and an active air intake.

The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and a 3DHT100 transmission, powertrain elements that have garnered the Pace Award.

The XC70 PHEV comes with two battery options: a smaller 21.22 kWh LFP battery from CATL with a 100 km electric range, and a larger ternary NMC battery with a 39.63 kWh capacity, enabling the longer electric range.

The vehicle’s dimensions and specifications cater to the Chinese market, with no current information on global expansion.
