Now, our spies have just caught the very first prototype of what we believe is the 2027 Chevy Silverado While the heavy camo on this truck makes it difficult to figure out whether this is a Chevy or GMC, we have our reasons to to call this a Silverado and not a Sierra. In any event, what we see here is the Crew Cab, Short Box configuration. The upright front end features a set of placeholder (non-production) headlamps bookending a grille with at least four horizontal slats and a front-facing camera peeking out from behind the cutout in the camo. Note that the headlamps are mounted quite a bit lower within the front fascia than those on the current Silverado 1500.
The upcoming 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 has been revealed through USPTO patent images, showcasing a more angular and robust design compared to its predecessor.
Spy photos of the 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 interior reveal a new screen layout, a plethora of buttons, and the retention of a diesel engine option, hinting at a blend of traditional and modern features.

New spy photos of the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 provide a clearer view of the upcoming half-ton truck’s design, which closely resembles the design shown in leaked patent images from the previous year.
Despite the camouflage, the spy shots reveal the truck’s front grille, headlight arrangement, and rear taillights and tailgate, which all appear to match the patented design.
The Silverado is anticipated to maintain its solid rear axle and offer a range of powertrains, including a small-block V-8, a turbocharged four-cylinder, and a diesel six-cylinder.
The spy photos also hint at different trim levels, with speculation that some models may feature off-road capabilities based on their tires and wheels.
The official unveiling of the new Silverado is expected to occur later in the year, confirming its status as a 2027 model year vehicle.
