2027 Cupra Leon VZ TCR

Cupra is developing the Leon VZ TCR, a race-inspired compact car that will be limited to just 499 units worldwide starting late 2026, combining motorsport technology with road performance.

Key Details:

  • Performance: 325 PS (239 kW) and 420 Nm torque, making it the most powerful front-wheel-drive Leon ever produced
  • Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds with no electronic top-speed limiter
  • Drivetrain: Turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission and electronic front-axle differential (VAQ) for enhanced traction and reduced understeer
  • Suspension & Handling: Adaptive DCC suspension system with configurable driving profiles and progressive steering for precision control
  • Braking: High-performance Akebono brake system with 6-piston calipers for extreme stopping power and fade resistance
  • Interior: Stripped-down design with rear seats removed, replaced by a reinforcing strut bar and safety net; bucket seats with 4-point racing harnesses
  • Exterior: Comprehensive aerodynamic package including front/rear splitters, side skirts, rear diffuser, roof spoiler, carbon fiber mirror caps, and 245 mm performance tires
  • Exclusivity: Each car bears an individual serial number engraved on the door panel

Why It Matters: Cupra is bringing race-track technology directly to the road with this ultra-limited model, positioning itself as a serious performance brand in the compact car segment, though pricing remains unannounced.
