However, going off the recent revelation that the Ford F-150 EcoBoost is getting a gasoline particulate filter, there could be some emissions work at play here. Ford could be working up some more updates to the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel, or we could be looking at a different kind of setup for the 6.8/7.3-liter gas V8 engines. Or, in typical spy truck fashion, it could be something else entirely. This time, we just have photos to go on, which makes it a bit more difficult to suss out powertrain peculiarities.
