The new Land Rover Freelander, set to debut in 2027, is previewed with early images that indicate a design influence from the existing Defender model, albeit in a more diminutive stature, particularly in height.

The forthcoming Freelander is anticipated to be the first in a line of vehicles under the revived nameplate, which may become a distinct brand.

The new Freelander will be underpinned by the E0X platform, shared with models like the Exlantix ET and ES, and Luxeed S7 and R7.

It is speculated that the vehicle could be equipped with a hybrid powertrain capable of delivering up to 560 horsepower, as reported by Chinese media.

The official unveiling of the new Freelander is expected to occur within the year, following the recent reveal of an updated classic Defender with an Octa-inspired trim.
