The Lexus LBX Morizo RR may be getting an even hotter version for 2027.
A new prototype has been spotted with camouflage covering the front, skirts and rear, but there are some interesting changes underneath. The biggest one is a carbon-fiber roof, while the rear hatch also appears to use CFRP around the license plate area. There’s also a revised rear spoiler and larger openings around the dual exhausts, possibly suggesting additional cooling.
That’s interesting because the current Morizo RR is already pretty wild for such a small Lexus. It uses the GR Yaris’ 1.6-liter turbo three-cylinder, making around 300 hp and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft), with AWD and either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic in Japan.
So this doesn’t look like Lexus is simply giving it a cosmetic refresh. Less weight, a lower center of gravity and possible performance upgrades could make an already ridiculous little crossover even more serious.
A lighter, sharper LBX Morizo RR with GR Yaris DNA? Sounds like fun.
