The new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is nearing production readiness and shows numerous changes in current test drives, The upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series continues its testing. New spy photos now show a significantly further developed prototype. Compared to the first test vehicles, AMG has changed numerous details. Above all, the car appears to be much closer to the later production model, The most striking feature is the redesigned headlights. The taillights also now look as if they could be used in this, or at least very similar, form on the production car. This makes the prototype less like a test vehicle, The changes to the rear are particularly extensive. AMG has redesigned the bumper, side skirts, and the entire area around the diffuser compared to the first test vehicles. At the same time, the active rear spoiler has grown significantly, The larger component is likely to not only define the car’s appearance but, more importantly, to perform aerodynamic functions. Another new detail is located on the rear window, where a small fin is visible for the first time. AMG has also made changes to the doors and side windows during the development process, Also of interest is the fuel filler flap on the passenger side near the B-pillar. On earlier prototypes, its design appeared much more heavily influenced by motorsport, On the current prototype, this area now looks significantly more like a production model, It will likely be some time before the car is seen without camouflage. A world premiere is currently expected in early 2027. Until then, Mercedes-AMG will probably send further prototypes out onto the road and test tracks.
