The MG Starlight 560, anticipated to be a midsize SUV with hybrid capabilities, has been spotted undergoing tests in India, suggesting its imminent entry into the market.
This vehicle, likely to be named the MG Starlight 560, was seen near MG Motor’s manufacturing plant in Halol, Gujarat, and is part of MG’s strategic push towards electrification.
The SUV, which appears larger than typical midsize offerings, is expected to be built on MG’s F150 platform, accommodating various powertrains including EV and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV).
With its robust stance, split headlamp setup, and connected LED tail light signature, the Starlight 560 is poised to offer a distinctive presence on the road.
MG Motor’s focus on New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) is evident, with plans to launch the Starlight 560 in both pure EV and PHEV variants, potentially rivaling established models like the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Harrier EV.
The company’s aggressive product offensive includes local assembly to ensure competitive pricing, aligning with their vision to lead the charge in the burgeoning electrified SUV segment in India.
