2027 Nio ET5T

The next-generation Nio ET5T may have just been spotted testing in China, and it already looks noticeably different from the current wagon.

Despite the heavy camouflage, the prototype appears longer, lower and sleeker, keeping the shooting-brake proportions that made the ET5T stand out in the first place.

More interesting are the three sensor pods on the roof. Chinese reports suggest the new ET5T could adopt a triple-LiDAR setup similar to the latest ES8, potentially bringing a major upgrade to its driver-assistance hardware.

It’s also expected to move to Nio’s third-generation NT3.0 EV platform, which should bring faster charging and other electrical architecture improvements.

The new ET5T could make its first appearance at Nio Day later this year, followed by an official launch sometime in 2027.
