2027 Peugeot 208

Peugeot is set to revolutionize its 208 supermini with a new all-electric model featuring a square steering wheel and cutting-edge technology, aiming to redefine urban mobility with a focus on space efficiency and dynamic handling.

The vehicle will be the first to utilize Peugeot’s new ‘STLA Small’ electric chassis, emphasizing compact exterior dimensions paired with a spacious interior, thanks to the integration of ‘Hypersquare’ steer-by-wire technology.

This technology not only enhances the driving experience but also contributes to the car’s roominess and potential for improved electric range due to weight reduction and increased recyclability.

The design of the new 208 is inspired by the iconic 205 model from the 1980s, blending nostalgic elements with modern aesthetics, as previewed by the Polygon concept car.

The new model is expected to debut with a variety of power outputs and will be manufactured in Spain, alongside its Vauxhall counterpart, the Corsa.
