2027 Porsche Panamera Facelift

The third generation of the sporty sedan, internally designated 976, has been on the market for just over two years. However, there are still some similarities to its predecessor. Our spy photographers have captured the first images of the upcoming facelift of the Porsche Panamera. The timing is hardly surprising, as the Panamera will have to adapt to the upcoming Euro 7 emissions regulations. The facelift is expected to be launched in 2026.

The Porsche Panamera is undergoing a significant update for its 2027 model, featuring design changes, enhanced technology, and a move towards Euro 7 compliant engines with increased electric range for PHEV versions.

Spy shots of the updated Porsche Panamera reveal that the luxury sedan is likely replacing its bank of physical toggle switches with digital displays, marking the end of one of its traditional differentiators.

Key Details:

  • The facelifted Panamera’s center console appears to feature a revised layout with concealed areas suggesting a new touchscreen for climate and vehicle functions
  • If confirmed, the Panamera would gain a fourth display when equipped with the optional passenger display, bringing it in line with rivals that have moved controls to touchscreens
  • The updated model retains exterior changes including revised headlights, new bumpers, and updated radar hardware from earlier prototypes
  • Two prototype vehicles spotted featured charging flaps, indicating plug-in hybrid powertrains; one appears to be a potential GTS E-Hybrid variant, suggesting Porsche may be electrifying its V8-powered GTS model
  • Current pricing starts around $113,000 and is expected to rise closer to $120,000 for the new generation; the lineup ranges from a turbocharged V6 (348 hp) to the Turbo S E-Hybrid (771 hp)

Why It Matters: The shift toward touchscreen controls reflects industry-wide trends toward digitalization, though it removes one of the Panamera’s distinguishing features that set it apart from competitors.
