Renault 5 reportedly getting a bigger battery for 2027, targeting nearly 500 km WLTP
The Renault 5 E-Tech could get a pretty solid upgrade next year. Motor.es reports that Renault is working on a 56 kWh battery to replace the current 52 kWh pack, along with an updated, more efficient motor.
That combo could push WLTP range close to 500 km. No styling changes are expected—this update is mostly under the skin.
Nothing official yet on final specs, charging speeds or pricing. The report expects a reveal around mid-2027.
