2027 Suzuki XL7 Facelift

Suzuki has been spotted testing a heavily updated version of the XL7, revealing a significant facelift for the brand’s three-row MPV. While the refreshed model is expected for ASEAN markets, it remains unclear whether similar styling changes will eventually make their way to the India-spec Maruti XL6.

The biggest changes appear at the front.

The facelifted XL7 adopts a completely redesigned grille layout featuring a single unified design that stretches vertically across the nose. Finished in black plastic with chrome detailing, the grille creates the impression of connected headlights and gives the MPV a much more aggressive appearance than the current model.

The LED headlight units themselves appear largely unchanged, but the lower bumper has been revised with slimmer fog lights and updated housings.

At the rear, Suzuki has toned down the chrome usage while adding smoked taillights for a sportier look. The rear bumper design, however, seems mostly carried over from the outgoing model.

New alloy wheel designs are also visible on the prototype, with certain trims expected to offer black or dual-tone black-and-chrome finishes.

Inside, Suzuki is likely preparing equipment and technology updates, although the overall cabin layout may remain familiar. Under the hood, the current 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with mild-hybrid technology is expected to continue without major mechanical changes.

The facelift highlights Suzuki’s continued focus on updating its MPV lineup in Southeast Asia, where vehicles like the XL7 remain highly popular thanks to their practicality and affordability.

What remains uncertain is whether these styling revisions will influence the future of the Maruti XL6 in India. Since both models are closely related, there is speculation that at least some of the exterior updates could eventually appear on the Indian-market version as well.

For now, though, Suzuki has not confirmed any India launch plans for the facelifted XL7.
