The Volkswagen ID.3 is set to undergo a significant facelift in 2027 instead of launching a new generation, with substantial updates to its design, technology, and powertrain.
The updates extend beyond aesthetics, with the reintroduction of classic buttons and switches inside the cabin, a new generation of batteries promising longer range and faster charging, and a revised chassis.
The updated ID.3 is expected to be unveiled by the end of 2026 and arrive in showrooms in early 2027, with the base model featuring a lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) battery.
