Spy Shots: 2027 Volkswagen T-Cross Spotted Testing With Heavy Camouflage.
It’s been just over two years since the VW T-Cross received its mid-cycle facelift, but Wolfsburg isn’t done with its smallest SUV yet. Fresh spy shots reveal that Volkswagen is preparing a second, more radical update for the popular model, set to arrive as the 2027 T-Cross.
Despite earlier rumors about its possible phase-out in favor of the upcoming ID. T-Cross EV (due in late 2026), the brand is clearly committed to keeping the combustion-powered version alive. Built in Pamplona, Spain, the refreshed T-Cross will continue to serve markets where ICE remains dominant.
Up front, expect slimmer headlights connected by an LED light strip, a redesigned grille, and a reworked bumper – in line with VW’s latest design language seen on the new T-Roc. Out back, revised taillights and bumper tweaks round out the changes, alongside new wheels and personalization options.
The cabin and tech details remain under wraps, but mild-hybrid (MHEV) petrol engines are likely, while diesel is officially off the table.
The new T-Cross should debut in the second half of 2026, reaching showrooms as a 2027MY, possibly alongside the facelifted Taigo with which it shares development.
