Xiaomi has applied to trademark “SU9 LUX,” fueling speculation that it’s working on a flagship sedan above the SU7.
The name is being linked to a stretched sedan prototype spotted testing, reportedly measuring over 5.2 meters long with a wheelbase of around 3.1 meters. Spy footage also appears to show rear-wheel steering, while reports point to revised side-camera housings and extra radar sensors.
Those dimensions would suggest a bigger focus on rear-seat space, putting it in territory served by China’s long-wheelbase executive sedans.
There’s still a fair bit of speculation here. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the SU9 name, dimensions, or a production launch. It also filed for “SU7 LUX,” so these could simply be names it wants to keep available.
Would you be more interested in a larger, comfort-focused Xiaomi sedan than another performance version of the SU7?
