Alpine’s upcoming electric sports GT, the A610, is slated to join the premium sports segment by 2028.
This vehicle, codenamed R111, is being designed to embody the brand’s traditional styling and dynamic performance while transitioning to a fully electric powertrain.
The A610 is anticipated to compete with models like the Porsche Taycan and the future BMW iM3.
It will be built on the Alpine Performance Platform (APP), featuring a battery layout that promises a low center of gravity and handling reminiscent of a mid-engine sports car, a nod to the original A610 from the 1990s.
The design is expected to include a sleek fastback silhouette, with aerodynamic elements such as a fixed rear spoiler and a diffuser to enhance stability at high speeds.
The A610 is rumored to boast around 600 horsepower, potentially sharing its powertrain with the upcoming A110, which is set to be revealed in 2026.
This new model represents Alpine’s commitment to electrification while staying true to its performance roots.
