our spy photographer partners caught a camouflaged prototype undergoing testing around Nurburgring. Quite obviously, the engineers were en route to or from the Nordschleife, where the global Lexus RX model hones its skills on the grueling Green Hell, According to our spies, “externally, the most significant changes will affect the front end; however, the interior is also set to undergo considerable changes. Specifically: (there’s) a newly designed dashboard, similar to those found in the ES, TZ, and the upcoming NX models.” We can easily see that 90% of the Lexus RX isn’t clad in camouflage, meaning that Lexus is adopting a subtle approach that will see a redesign of only the front fascia section, Not even the headlights were touched, but it’s also possible this could be a mule, and other prototypes could have additional changes. Unfortunately, since the prototype was caught moving, there are no images of the interior to assess the changes. Expectations are that Lexus will refresh the RX either late this year or early in 2027, arriving as a 2027 or 2028 model year.
